Philanthropic Chris McCarty

Posted on May 5th, 2011 by admin  |  No Comments »

He is a man that was blessed with charisma. A man that makes every woman’s head to go gaga and makes their heart pumps so fast. And if you are to meet him, he will make your day not to forget.

This man I’m talking about is Chris mccarty, the dreadlock singer and guitarist. And imagine that he writes his own music and then performs it on stage. When I first saw McCarty in the television, I was star struck! I think I’m already fall in love with him. He was so great. When I am listening to his music, I think I am listening to a music box because his melancholic voice takes me in to a perfect paradise. It feels like I am in heaven when I am hearing his songs. chris mccarty is really good in performing on the stage. His songs are acoustic rock and like very much to hear by his fans. McCarty is a helpful man, too. He is a philanthropic man for he helps especially the children who have cancer. The fund raised of the concert that he had performed was given to the charity. Because he believes that he can change things and make the world a better place to the children with cancer. He was so kind, so generous! He had a very great pity to the children that he does not even know. I adore him so much! The kindness of his heart will lead him to achieve his goals in his life.

Castle Farms: Where Only State-of-the-Art Michigan Weddings Happen

Posted on August 21st, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

What I never wanted for a wedding was an ordinary one that guests would confuse with other weddings that they must have visited. I want my wedding to be the event that generations will remember – every bride wants this anyway, and why do I rant? Just because I have seen so many friends’ weddings and I have helped out arrange for the same, but the main wedding organizer still sticks to what they want to happen rather than accommodate their client’s once in a lifetime cravings.

Mine was not just going to be any of the other Michigan weddings or the world’s for that matter. While every other detail can contribute to the event’s turnout, venue was top priority. It was going to make or break the wedding to remember thing that I am just dying for. Holding the wedding in my husband’s hometown in Michigan was scary – I knew nothing about the place and yet venue is what I fuss over.

Having a few meetings with my wedding organizer was exciting and frightening at the same time. Was this wedding organizer going to be the same as the crappy ones I already have? When she showed me the elegant Castle Farms where state of the art Michigan weddings are held, I thought to myself, “obviously not”. She gave me that fab professional first impression and that was a great sigh of relief. I was confident that the rest would follow – well everything did, in fact.

The Smiths Biography And Top 10 Songs

Posted on July 10th, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

The Smiths are another of my favourite Manchester bands and as I have said before, you have to support your own. I think I initially started listening to The Smiths when What Difference Does It Make came out in 1983 and I thought Morrissey had one of the most interesting voices and lyrical styles which were not the usual sort popular at the time. Some people think that The Smiths were a depressing band with very boring lyrics but I think I connected with them because of that. I like to be unique and different which I think is reflected by some of the music I listen to. I do think some of the songs contain very emotional lyrics but I wouldn’t say they were too depressing or boring and actually quite funny.

I also tend to sway more towards the bands who actually play instruments and are not all computer generated, but not always as I do listen to a very varied music library. I would have liked to have seen The Smiths live, but like when I was sneaked into the Hacienda to watch The Stone roses I never got the opportunity to do this with The Read the rest of this entry »

What You Need to Know About Canadian Music and Musicians

Posted on July 9th, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

Sadly, most of us here in the U.S. are blissfully unaware of performers that don’t hail from one of the 50 states. Ask the average Joe on the street if they know of any Canadian musicians, and if you get any response, you’ll hear Celine Dion or Shania Twain, maybe even Bryan Adams or Neil Young. While these are certainly talented musicians in their own right, they certainly do not represent the breadth and depth of the Canadian music scene. Some of the ignorance is due to the cultural similarities between ourselves and our neighbors to the North. Pop/punk sensation Avril Lavigne is so popular with the tweener set here in the U.S. precisely because she looks and sounds like she could have stepped off of any high school campus in middle America. But aside from such superstars as Alanis Morrisette and Rush who have transcended any national boundaries and become truly international, Canadian musicians have plenty to offer the world in terms of exciting and fresh music. I would like to offer a few suggestions in various categories, and perhaps with a casual listen, you’ll discover like I did that the Great White Read the rest of this entry »

Jimi Hendrix Biography And Top 10 Songs

Posted on July 6th, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

I have listened to Jimi Hendrix since I can remember and he was probably the first person I ever wanted to be when I was a kid. I love the guitar but I can play it about as much as I can walk on the moon. When I was much younger I attempted to take guitar lessons, but I didn’t have my own guitar and had to use my dads. The problem with that is, I’m left handed and my dad right handed and so we had to keep switching the strings about which my dad moaned at. There was no way I could play the guitar left handed like Jimi so I eventually gave up and decided to appreciate the guitar skills in others and focus my energy on other things.

Jimi was born on November 27th 1942 in Seattle, Washington and is remembered as one of the greatest guitarists of all time (the greatest to me). Jimi first became famous within the USA (his home country) and ended his career in London, England. Jimi made success in the US when he performed at the Monteray Pop Festival in 1967, he later headlined at the Woodstock Festival in Read the rest of this entry »

Enigma Biography And Top 10 Songs

Posted on July 3rd, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

I first started listening to Enigma about the time Return To Innocence was released and was played on the radio a lot. Most people I know don’t listen to Enigma because they just don’t know about them. Most people think they have never of heard them until you tell them some of their songs. Enigma are an electronic trance group and started a completely new music genre, Enigmatic Music.

The group was founded in 1990 by Michael Cretu, his wife Sandra (the “voice” of Enigma), David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in France. Enigma were one of the first recording groups to use a HD recording studio and their use of non-percussion instruments and voice samples such as the Shakuhachi Flute and Monk Chants makes their sound unique. I like to listen to Enigma when I need to chill out and relax, and although they do have a beat behind them this actually helps the music to flow.

Enigma first started to gain a following after their release of Sadness (Part I) which was quite controversial at the time for featuring Monk Chants and also sexual sounds played over a dance beat. Some say that this style was influenced Read the rest of this entry »

His first record contract was in Nashville with an Independent Record label. He wrote “Same Old Highway” which was recorded by Sonny Wright. Sonny played the song on “Nashville Now” and was played in almost every country in Europe. It was very exciting times. He recorded his first song at Ray Stevens Studio in Nashville. There was one song from that session that did fairly well. The song was “Couldn’t Love You More” which he wrote and sang.

He also recorded at the Recorded, the Music Mill and the Shock House in Nashville. Jack Eubanks was the leader of the early “Alabama” session. He was a big help to Steve and was the leader of his sessions there.

He continued to write songs over the years and the songs just seem to get better and better. He went back to Nashville in 2003 and played in clubs around town. The response to the songs was really good. He headed back Read the rest of this entry »

The Beatles Bio And Top 10 Songs

Posted on June 6th, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

Being from Manchester which is quite close to Liverpool there is some local rivalry (especially between Manchester United F.C. and Liverpool F.C.) between the two towns and as such I generally support the Manchester bands first, but I think the whole world likes The Beatles even if they won’t admit it. The Beatles are the most successful of any bands, ever.

I first started listening to The Beatles on the radio and when I was 8 I got A Hard Days Night as a birthday present (by request). In 2004 Rolling Stone Magazine rated The Beatles #1 on it’s list of 100 Greatest Artists Of All Time. The Beatles have influenced so many of todays groups the list would take all day to write.

The Beatles formed in the early 1960′s and were made up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Two other members over the years were Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best. In the UK The Beatles have had more than 40 albums, singles, and EP’s that have reached number 1. In the USA they have had 20 number 1 albums. Some of the other achievements The Beatles hold are: The best selling Read the rest of this entry »

The Doors Bio And Top 10 Songs

Posted on May 23rd, 2010 by admin  |  No Comments »

The Doors were an American band and were formed in Venice Beach in 1965 and consisted of Jim Morrison (Vocals), Robby Krieger (Guitarist), Ray Manzarek (Keyboards) and John Densmore (Drums).

Jim Morrison made the band famous with his controversial lyrics and outrageous stage performances and antics. Jim was originally a poet and songwriter, and being my favourite singer of all time has inspired me to write many poems and songs over the years and until recently I have never shared them with anyone.

The Doors have sold over 80 million albums worldwide and still continue to sell roughly 1 million per year and have had numerous chart-toppers such as Light My Fire, People Are Strange, Break On Through, L.A. Woman, Riders On The Storm, Touch Me, Love Me Two Times and The End.

The Doors released many albums during their years before Jim’s death, the most notable being The Doors, Strange Days, Morrison Hotel, L.A. Woman and not forgetting Jim’s An American Prayer (which was a great inspiration to me and my poems when I was younger).

Jim unfortunately died age 27 on July 3rd 1971 and with him went the end of an era but Read the rest of this entry »
